2010 Fights That Mattered #2: Matt Makowski vs LeVon Maynard
Daddis Faithful Celebrate Makowski's Victory
Philadelphia’s Matt Makowski made his bones on the national scene with the now legendary victory over Nick Serra for CBS’s former MMA partner, EliteXC. After a 2-1 run with EXC, Matt came back to the area to defeat Serge Vinagre in Ring of Combat before reentering the national scene for Bellator season 1. It would be eight months before Matt got into the cage after his loss to Justin Torrey at Bellator 11.
Matt spent those eight months cornering for other Daddis fighters, and healed a back injury. Then on February 27th he stepped in to the main event of Matrix Fights 1 against former Muay Thai opponent LeVon Maynard.

Dada 5000 Gong Show Will Be Available Free on GFL
If you read other MMA sites (and I encourage you to), you may have heard about this Dada 5000 guy who’s trying to be Kimbo 2.0. The basic story line is this: Dude started doing backyard fights, now he thinks he’s an MMA fighter. First fight was Rumble at the Rock 2 (I won’t link to the promotion’s site, because I really don’t want to support this crap). From what I’ve heard, Dada was mounted by his opponent, Cedric James. While James was in mount, the referee stopped action to stand the two fighters up. Dada then won via KO.
Another fight of note is Mike Bernhard vs Ariel Gandulla which went to Bernhard at 2:50 of the first after multiple infractions. Gandulla is accused of twice gouging Bernhard’s eyes, and once “grabbing” his groin (note: not striking, but grabbing the groin). That’s a lot of misdemeanors in under 3 minutes of work.
