Our buddy Dan Miragliotta will be on tonight’s episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon where he’ll be officiating an Ultimate Mustache Fighter bout between the flavor savors of Dr. Phil and John Oates. From what I understand, Oates’ mustache has been training with Mark DellaGrotte at Team Sityodtong in Boston, while Phil’s lip-fuzz has been in Albuquerque working out at Greg Jackson’s camp. Should be an outstanding fight.
Or at the very least, not the worst bout Dan’s been assigned to referee…

According to a report from 5 oz of Pain, Strikeforce: Evolution outdrew WEC: Cerrone vs Ratcliffe to the tune of only 11 thousand viewers.
The two shows split 671,000 total viewers with Strikeforce pulling in 341,000. That’s a deceptively tight number until you consider that the WEC was shown on the Versus network, which is available to 75million homes against Showtime which is only seen on 12million televisions. That means a much higher percentage of available viewers were watching Strikeforce and not WEC. A number that isn’t represented, however, are the number of people who watched one event live, and DVR’ed the other.
A really interesting question to think about this holiday weekend is; how would those numbers have changed if Zuffa would actively promote the WEC?
