About & Advertise
I’m Paul Miles, and I started MAMMA-Online to cover the regional MMA fight scene. I saw a lot of blogs reposting UFC results and recapping TUF episodes. But nobody was covering the local shows here in Philadelphia. I’ve been following mixed martial arts since The Ultimate Fighter Season 1 finale when I watched the Griffin/Bonnar war from my buddy’s firehouse lounge. In March of ‘09 I was cage side photographing the first professional MMA fight in the Metro Philly region, and from there began to follow the local and regional fight scene. MAMMA stands for Mid-Atlantic Mixed Martial Arts, and the goal is to cover every pro & amateur event in the region from inside the commission barrier. Before starting MAMMA-Online, I spent a year doing game day operations in ice hockey and football, blogged pro basketball and Phillies baseball. Since the spring of 2009 I’ve also been a sports photographer, covering minor league baseball, semi-pro football, roller derby and mountain biking.
I made my commentary debut with New Breed Fighters on February 6, 2010 sitting in the third seat for three fights.
I’m available to write guest posts, appear on podcasts or do commentary on events.

MAMMA-Online
MAMMA-Online, the Mid-Atlantic MMA blog, is the first and only locally owned and operated MMA site covering Philadelphia, Atlantic City, New York, Lancaster and Baltimore metropolitan areas. Often imitated, never intimidated.
Officially went online October 8, 2009 but the first post went online on October 1. Since then MAMMA has covered 6 fight nights live from cage side, given results for 33 events, previewed 39 fights, run 2 contests, interviewed 12 people in the MMA industry and covered 1 MMA fighter’s porno career.
Fight results from the Mid-Atlantic region that appear on MAMMA-Online are syndicated to our friends at ULT MMA and some news stories are reposted at MMA Melee. MAMMA-Online reached its first major traffic milestone by finishing 2009 with over 10,000 visits.

Highest concentrated of visits come from New York City and Staten Island, Philadelphia Metro, Central Pennsylvania (York/Lancaster and Scranton), Bethesda and Baltimore Maryland and South Jersey. MAMMA-Online is also very popular in Illinois, Texas and California, though I can’t explain why.
