Want to help spread the good word about The Mid-Atlantic MMA Blog? I’m looking for gyms and promoters that are willing to distribute this postcard for me. Gyms, just leave the card on your counter, promoters, leave the card on the seats. When your out, email me and I’ll replenish your stock.
Your cost? Zero dollars. If you want your gym or company logo on the card, I’ll sell them to you at cost – which is as low as $7 for 100. It really is that simple. I’ll cover the cost of shipping, and all you have to do is put them in a place where people will grab them.
MAMMA postcards are already being distributed by Tattoo Fightwear and Jamie Varner’s Combat Academy.
I’m also looking for potential distributors for MAMMA-Online stickers and t-shirts. Get a hold of me at paul@mamma-online.com.

Lindsay Lohan? Sweet!
It seemed almost criminal that I ran an East Coast fight site and have gotten this far without making the pilgrimage to Atlantic City. So I jumped at the chance to hit Fight City USA for New Breed Fighters 27. New Breed tends to fly under the radar, setting up in the Superstar Theater at Resorts Hotel & Casino on the Boardwalk. Getting there is simple, its only about three turns off the AC Expressway, and if you can fight the temptation to hit the craps tables, you just have to wander through the casino floor. The show is in the theater, with fighter prep areas and NBF traffic control are both set-up across the hall in the ballroom. Running the show is Scott Morgan, his brother in law John and their wives, along with a crew that has been with them for going on three years. All that experience has the back room running very smoothly and efficiently. I didn’t see any last minute running around at all.

Tonight’s Locked in the Cage 2 weigh-ins went down at the Sheraton 4 Points in Northeast Philadelphia. No real fanfare, though I do know that Sam Caplan and former WEC 155 champ Jamie Varner were in the house to check out the proceedings.
Off the pro card, I understand that Ariel Sepulveda did not make it to weigh ins. And I believe I heard (though I missed him scaling) John Doyle came in over weight. I can confirm that Aaron Meisner was 4 pounds heavy, and was not able to cut down to 170 for his main event bout with Marcus Ajian. After some negotiations, Ajian did accept an offer for a 174 catch-weight for the fight, so the main event is still on. Joe Finneran was in danger of being too heavy, but was able to sweat three pounds off, so his pro debut will go down against Jeff Cressman.
Hit the jump for interviews with Brad Daddis, Aaron Meisner, Marcus Ajian and Jeff Cressman.

On the eve of a WEC title unification bout with Ben Henderson, Jamie Varner is looking at two other dangerous men in the 155 division.
MMA Opinion‘s Bryan Levick asked Varner about top contender Donald Cowboy Cerrone.
Bryan Levick: Can you tell me how the war of words started between you and Cerrone?
Jamie Varner: Once he got around all of his ghetto homies in New Mexico they somehow convinced him that the fight went differently than it really did. Shortly after the fight he did an interview on HDNET and said if we were ever to meet up again he would run through me. He said I don’t have anything, I don’t bring nothing and I gave him all I got.

Since the Varner/Cerrone fight at WEC 38 that left Varner with a broken foot, the division has been tied up like the Schuyklill Expressway at rush hour. Donald Cerrone lost the interim belt to Ben Henderson, then came back with a win over Ed Ratcliffe to reclaim his spot as the number 1 contender. This is despite the fact that Anthony Njokuani left Chris Horodecki looking silly. This created a little bit of a four headed monster at the top of the 155 division with Jamie Varner and Smooth Ben Henderson rocking gold on their waist while Donald Cerrone looking up at not one, but two belts that he thinks should be his. Meanwhile Njokuani is on the outside looking in.
With the traffic jam at the head of the class, WEC’s lightweight division could be in 2010 what the featherweight division was in 2009. Varner playing the role of Urijah Faber with Cerrone, Henderson and Njokuani arguing over who gets to be Mike Brown and Jose Aldo.
What we do know is that this Sunday the first piece of the mystery gets revealed when Jamie Varner and Ben Henderson dance to unify the lightweight and interim belts. With my prediction record well under .500, I’m not even going to take a guess at where this fight goes. Varner has been out of the cage for a year, so how do you balance ring rust against the possibility of a fighter actually being healthy going into a fight? Henderson redefined the rubber guard getting all Gumby and Pokey with Donald Cerrone’s submission attempts and held on for the decision win and the interim title.
