Really? Really? … Really?

First of all, your not going to get very far comparing a pot head to a civil rights pioneer. Secondly, pot is illegal because its a substance that damages the body. Maybe not as much as tobacco or alcohol, but one fight at a time. Being black and riding in the front of a bus was illegal because powerful white people were scared of black people back in the day. So there is a subtle difference between a little wake & bake to some Peter Tosh jams and civil disobedience of institutionalized racism.

Now with that social commentary out of the way. I do disagree with the recent California State Athletic Commission’s recent ruling that they will be testing for marijuana. Its not that I’m a fan of Mary J, its that I don’t believe that the sticky icky is a performance enhancer. I think the CSAC is overreaching on this one. If they want to dime out guys like Nick Diaz for blazin’ j’s to the police. That would be a dick move, but okay. But to treat trees as a PED is sort of silly to me.

For the record, Diaz has a pass, and uses “medical marijuana” to treat his ADD. Which is just as absurd.
